Thomas Müller renews until 2024

Thomas Müller announced his departure from the German national team after the World Cup in Qatar. He wants to make room for the kids.

But at Bayern Munich, where the country's revelations, Musiala, Sané and Gnabry play, the striker is still on the rise.

This Tuesday, the Bavarian club officially renewed his contract until June 2024 and he could become the record holder of appearances with the team's shirt.

If he continues to play regularly over the next 18 months of his contract, Müller has everything to reach the mark of legendary goalkeeper Sepp Maier. He will need to play another 47 games.

Playing his 15th season for Bayern, the striker has entered the field 624 times, against 670 for the goalkeeper. There were 226 goals scored by the experienced 32-year-old player.

"One of our highlights this year: the extension of the contract with Thomas Müller until 2024?, made Bayern Munich official on their social networks, with the striker striking the same pose as when he arrived at the club, as a teenager, signing his first contract.

"Red is and always will be my color. Today I extended my contract with FC Bayern Munich until June 30, 2024. This club, this team and these fans are my home", celebrated the player, also on his social networks .

Before thinking about Maier's mark, Müller has yet to surpass the record of another historic goalkeeper at the club. But this goal is more modest. Oliver Kahn played for Bayern in 632 games.

There are therefore only nine appearances left for the striker to take second place. The renewal also dampens Barcelona's desire to rely on their football.

The possibility of leaving Sarabia that next January

Pablo Sarabia may leave Paris Saint-Germain in the winter market.

The information is advanced by L'Équipe, which says that the 30-year-old winger is dissatisfied with the lack of minutes and is considering heading to other stops already at the reopening of the window.

The same source adds that Parisians are not opposed to the departure of the ex-Sporting player.

Even so, Sarabia and Paris Saint-Germain must let the first weeks of January pass to see if the situation changes and the player gains new preponderance in Christophe Galtier's accounts.

The Spanish international shone in the 2021/2022 season at the service of Sporting, provided by the French, having scored 21 goals and eight assists in 45 games.

The excellent season with a lion on his chest made him return to Paris. However, covered by the trio Mbappé, Messi and Neymar, Sarabia has had little space.

He has participated, so far, in 16 games for Paris Saint-Germain, but appearing only occasionally. In those 16 games he played 488 minutes and didn't score a single goal or assist.

Sarabia has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2024.
