American crime story: Monica Lewinsky asks to apologize to her
From George Washington to Donald Trump, there is a history of sexual scandals that haunt American presidents, but none of them have had the same scandal as Bill Clinton's scandal with Monica Lewinsky.
The American crime story: president and his mistress
- Twenty years have passed since a report in "Drudge" newspaper about an affair between Clinton and an "unidentified" former intern in the White House became an American crime story.
- Later, the "Washington Post" revealed Monica's name for the first time.
- During this period, Monica broke her silence more than once to confirm her sense of shame and to apologize to former first lady Hillary Clinton and first daughter Chelsea.
- However, she has now decided to reveal all the details, from seducing the president until her discovery, and how the FBI recruited her to trap the master of the White House at the time.
Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton Relationship
- "The Clinton Relationship" is a new three-episode documentary on A&A about the former US president's relationship with intern Monica Lewinsky.
- The film begins with the president's testimony in the case of Paula Jones, who accused him of sexual harassment when he was the governor of Arkansas.
- Bell denied having an affair with Jones, Kathleen Wylie, and Monica under oath in January 1998.
- But the newspapers began searching for the young trainee, who was 22 years old, and she entered into a relationship with Bell.
Monica Lewinsky scandal
Monica remembers the moment when she woke up to find her family holding newspapers, reading about the scandal, and how it felt like they were "pushing the last nail in the coffin".
Since that time, she has not been able to speak for herself, as she is the one who knows the most truth, but the interrogators pushed her into enforced silence by granting her immunity from prosecution if she fell to the president.
And the investigations came out to the light in front of the world to look into the American crime story, which includes an illustration of the sexual relationship between Bill and Monica.
Monica said that for years it was presented as a political problem or "late-night parody", but she decided to take on a new role, the narrator of her own story because of the American crime story.
Monica Lewinsky's job
In 1995, Monica, who decided to enroll in training in the office of Leon Panetta, the White House chief of staff, without pay, confessed to the president that she admired him and that she had her eyes on him, and Clinton laughed and invited her to the back office.
She also talked about the gifts he gave her, including the poems "Leaves of Grass" by Walt Whitman, but after the seduction began, the game got out of hand.
Monica decided, as she wrote in an article in Vanity Fair, "to dig, even if it hurts, and that's exactly what it takes to start coming to terms with the past."
